Raghav Mehrotra, 14

14 year old Raghav Mehrotra is a phenom drummer who has been garnering attention from a very early age. When Raghav was just six, Dante Cimino, professional drummer and music director of School of Rock Princeton, had told Princeton Patch, “Raghav has natural musical talent above and beyond anything I’ve ever seen, and he may become a better drummer than me before he’s a teenager.”

Raghav has been fortunate to have shared the stage with some legendary musicians like Steve Smith (Hall of Fame drummer for Journey), Slash (Gun N Roses), Doug Wimbish (Living Colour), James Genus (Saturday Night Live), Jimmy Haslip(Yellowjackets), Vinny Valentino (Vital Information).

He was the principal character, Freddy, the drummer, in Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Tony-nominated School of Rock the Musical where he performed over 500 shows! In 2018, Raghav reunited with Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber, performing with Sarah Brightman at The Phantom of the Opera’s 30th Anniversary celebration. Tony Awards, Good Morning America, Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade are among his other performances.

As a “Wimbash AllStar”, Raghav has been performing with the legendary bassist Doug Wimbish for the great cause of furthering music education among school children, both nationally and in the Dominican Republic.

Raghav lives in Princeton, New Jersey, where he experiments with various genres and sounds and is frequently hailed as one of the most promising young drummers of our time.
