LJ Thompson, 20

Born & Raised in Milwaukee, Lester Thompson got his early start on drums at the age of two. Later down the road Lester would attend Milwaukee High School of the Arts where he would meet four other teens with the same passion he had for music. That’s how the band “Generation Z” was brought about which he’d gig all over the Midwest with throughout high school. In 2016, at the age of 18 and right after graduating, he received a call from Atlantic Records to play for national, platinum, and 2017 Grammy nominated artist D.R.A.M. Since playing alongside D.R.A.M., Lester has been fortunate enough to perform at Austin City Limits, Coachella, Jimmy Kimmel Live, and opening support for Kendrick Lamar’s DAMN Tour (US leg).
