JD Beck, 15

JD Beck is a 15-year-old artist from Dallas, TX. He began playing classical piano at age 5 and soon developed an interest in all things musical. Although he continues to play all instruments, the drums are his primary love. At age 11 he was discovered at a local jam session by Grammy winning producer Jamal Cantero (Erykah Badu) aka Jah Born. Over the years he has had the opportunity to sit in with some of the world’s best musicians including members of Snarky Puppy, Ghost-Note, Eric McFadden and is the youngest person to perform at Jammcard’s own, JammJam. He has also had the opportunity to work with some of the world’s greatest drummers including Thomas Lang, Brian Frasier Moore, Matt Garstka, Marco Minnemann, Robert “Sput” Searight, Rich Redmond, Stanton Moore, Mike Mitchell, and many more. He plays all musical styles from hip-hop to country and has recently become heavily involved with music production. He is currently working on a project with fellow Jammcard member and 20 Under 20 winner Domi Degalle.
